The Ministry of Finance has released the detailed breakdown of the new salary scale and allowances for civil servants for the current fiscal year 2083/84, effective from Shrawan 1. Following the cabinet meeting’s approval on Shrawan 6 regarding the government’s budget announcement of a 10 percent salary hike and an additional 10 percent incentive allowance, the ministry corresponded with all government bodies on Wednesday to implement the new pay scale. Under this new arrangement, civil servants, the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, health services, parliament services, community school teachers, as well as employees working at the provincial and local levels, will receive the increased salary along with the monthly incentive allowance.
